Born on the trails, crafted in a garage, tested on rowdiest dirt on the planet.

Developed and refined over 3 years, the patent-pending SwitchGradeTM ushers in a new era of innovative and disruptive thinking. Engineered to withstand the world's most demanding terrain, the SwitchGrade was conceived on the fabled North Shore mountains, tested in Whistler, and proven on the slabs of Squamish and loamers of the Fraser Valley. Burly and bold just like the trails found in beautiful British Columbia, Canada.

Patent Pending.

Power, efficiency, and comfort on the way up. Room to get rowdy on The Way Down

Mountain bike trails, paved roads, and gravel paths aren't flat so why should your saddle be?

Ever wonder why DH racers tilt their saddles nose high while trail and XC riders don't? It's all about optimizing your riding position. As riders we tinker with suspension settings, tire air volumes, handlebar roll and yet neglect a critical aspect associated with performance - saddle angle. The SwitchGrade let's you discover a new dimension of riding performance, efficiency, and comfort, no matter what discipline of cycling you love.

So Many Challenges.

One Simple Solution.

#MASHITUP

Research1 shows that climbing is easier when the angle of your bike saddle is adjusted in a nose-down position.

SwitchGrade benefits for climbing:

Generate more power by improving biomechanical efficiency

Offset incline grades, effectively rendering climbs flat

Counter the effects of suspension sag, especially for long-travel bikes in the 150mm+ range.

Riding with more open torso and hip angles provides increased mid-stroke power and efficient spinning while relieving pain and discomfort

Have a stable platform, support, and 'push-point' to maximize pedaling efficiency and reduce fatigue

"Adjusted saddle position counteracts the modified muscle activation patterns during uphill cycling", Fonda, Panjan, Markovic, Sarabon

Tired arms from trying to stop dreaded backside slide

Exhausted core caused by bending over, trying to keep weight over bars

Back pain experienced on long extended climbs

Burned out legs and knee strain from inefficient and exaggerated pedaling downstroke

CLIMBING

Front wheel lifts off the ground due to short rear centre or chainstays

Numbness experienced in groin region due to increased pressure on perineum

Saddle related pain caused by sustained pressure on the 'sit bones' or ischial tuberosity

Discomfort caused by sitting on the pointy nose of the saddle while attempting to increase rear wheel traction

Loss of wheel traction due to forward biased centre of mass leading to inadvertent unweighting of rear

GH014365_Moment_edited.jpg

Getting hung up on shorts on re-entry

Rear portion of saddle causes interference leading to abrasions and unwanted contact

Seatposts and saddles with high stack height means difficulty getting the saddle out of the way for descents

DOWNHILL

Tall seat tubes hamper the ability to slam saddles down and out of the way

Interrupted seat tubes makes it impossible to insert long travel dropper seatposts far enough into the frame meaning lots of exposed post and less clearance

#SMASHITDOWN

The gravity set: pro downhill, enduro, and slalom racers, along with the aerial artists competing in slopestyle and freeride events, all know that a nose-up tilted saddle gives them a distinct advantage because of the extra clearance they gain by having the saddle completely out of the way, not to mention providing an effective safety barrier. They also know that a bike saddle tilted nose high helps with increased steering precision allowing them to manipulate their saddles between their knees and thighs for carving berms and piloting their bikes in the air.

SwitchGrade benefits for descending:

More room to maneuver over and around your saddle

Easy exit and entry off and on your bike saddle as you shimmy down rock gardens, steep chutes and root-filled lines

Perfect solution for riders with shorter inseams who want the benefits of a long dropper seatpost but are limited by interrupted seat tube design

Angling down provides a measure of protection and effectively safeguards against accidental brushes with the rear of saddle
